Seven Sands Of the Emirates

In collaboration with SHAMAA, KHALID SHAFAR curated SEVEN SANDS OF THE EMIRATES, an artistically refined and culturally nuanced table capsule for intimate gatherings. Comprising of an elegant candle board, complemented by table runners and napkins, the limited edition capsule features KHALID SHAFAR’s signature Burj Khalifa pattern in a vibrant colour palette, infusing each piece with the brand’s distinct contemporary touch.

Inspired by the UAE’s seven sands of the Emirates souvenir frames—where each sand colour represents one of the nation’s seven emirates— KHALID SHAFAR replaces original muted hues into vibrant Pantone shades to create a striking new visual language. His signature pattern of the Burj Khalifa forms the centrepiece, reinterpreted in bold colours, bringing the nostalgic imagery into a modern context.

SEVEN SANDS OF THE EMIRATES is a sophisticated dialogue between past and present, evoking the aesthetics of the 60s and 70s while embracing KHALID SHAFAR’s contemporary design philosophy.
